San Ferdinando

On the side of Piazza Trieste e Trento, just in front of the entrance of the Royal Palace, there is a small architectural gem of Napoli, San Ferdinando Church.  Built in 1636 and designed by Cosimo Fanzago, it belonged to the order of Jesuits first and then was given to the Constantine knights, who dedicated the church to king Ferdinand.  The interior is decorated by Cosimo Fanzago and the sculptors Domenico Antonio Vaccaro and Giuseppe Sanmartino.
